MANUAL THERAPY FAQS FROM OUR LOCATION CLIENTS

Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • What are the benefits of manual therapy?

Manual therapy is particularly beneficial for...

    • Reduced pain and stress
    • Reduced soft-tissue inflammation
    • Reduced muscle tension
    • Improved movement to facilitate exercise therapy
    • Improved joint mobility and range of motion to stiff joints
    • Improved blood circulation and soft tissue health
    • Improved tissue stability and extensibility
    • Improved relaxation

  • How many sessions do I need?

This is a difficult question to answer as the number of sessions you require depends on a number of factors such as how bad your pain is and how your body responds to the treatment.

During our first assessment we will discuss a tailored treatment plan that will outline the number of sessions you could be expected to attend in order to achieve your desired outcome.

  • How do I get started on alleviating my pain?

If you have decided that now is the time to start alleviating or eliminating the pain that you are experiencing, we recommend starting with an initial assessment so that we can discuss the issues that you are having and work together to develop a tailored plan that will help you to achieve your desired outcome.

  • What questions will I get asked during an initial assessment?

During your initial assessment we will try to gain an understanding of the pain that you are experiencing and how the pain started. If your pain started as a result of an injury, we will ask you to tell us about the injury or as much information you have about the pain so that we can see the whole picture and develop a tailored treatment plan.

  • What should I wear to my appointment?

We recommend that you wear clothes that are comfortable as it's likely that the session will involve elements of movement.

Consider what you're wearing based on the area you are experiencing pain for example if you have knee pain, consider wearing shorts.
